Hello. The speaker on my watch sounds under water and mechanical almost. Is this normal?

Hi there, @Tee79. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that the speaker on your Versa 4 doesn't sound as expected. I'll be glad to help you!

As a first approach, I'd recommend following @Talahthas' advice. Whether to determine if your Versa 4 speaker works ok, (if you have the chance) you can compare it to another Versa 4.

Just if you've not done so, please try increasing the volume on your watch or your phone when using the on-wrist calls. However, please note that if you're trying to connect any headphones while using on-wrist calls, especially Airpods, at this time Fitbit smartwatches can't control the volume on Apple Airpods.

Every feedback shared in the Community Forums is appreciated and passed along to evaluate our procedures and enhance your Fitbit experience, and yours won't be the exception. If you need anything else, let me know.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Tee79!

The speaker on my Versa 4 also sounds a little bit muffled, although it is surprisingly loud given how tiny it has to be. But it's no comparison to the speakers of my phone.
My advice would be visiting a sales point for Fitbit products to compare your Versa 4 to another one.
