I've just recently noticed an issue where the time on my watch should've been 12:15pm was at 9:15am instead. The App settings for timezone information was set automatically. I then manually set it to the correct timezone but the time doesn't change even after syncing. If I sync a timezone just before mine (GMT+2) it then works and sync to one hour behind. If I change it back to GMT+3 it then goes back to the original time which is a couple hours behind the correct time. This leads me to believe that there's some bug, I've also restarted my phone and watch but to no avail, entering specifically GMT+3 it doesn't work. I haven't test it with GMT+4 to see what happens but this behaviour is very weird since it gets the other timezones correct, at least those before my current time.
Is anyone able to replicate this?

should be, until they decide to fix the time zone issue. heard some countries in the past had similar problems but was not fixed. fitbit likes to sit on problems and doesnt solve them. anyway after i updated tracker software this happened, and software updates cannot be rolled back. so unfortunately it seems to be stuck with this nonsense. if you need mandarin settings or had it in mandarin settings, you can change to China, Shanghai, Taiwan, Macau and it will be in Mandarin. i want it in English so i tried other GMT +8. so far Perth does the trick for me..

Hi, I woke up today to my watch showing the wrong time (3 hours ahead), I didn't travel anywhere with a different timezone in the last 4 months.
Things that I already tried:
- restarting the device, twice
- factory reset the device
- restarting my phone
- clearing the app cache
- logging out of the app
- disable automatic timezone and setting a different one
- of course syncing the device multiple times
- changing the facewatch
Nothing seems to be working, can anyone please help me?
Thank you,
Lu

Pleasant day Forum members. I put my Fitbit to charge in the usual manner last evening. When it was finished I put it back on and went to bed. Got up this morning only to realize that the time as per my tracker is 4 hours ahead! I force stopped the app, re-opened and re-synced. I re-synced from within the app. I double checked my time zone and location and manually re-set these as well. I checked to ensure my app itself is up to date - which it is. I checked that I have the latest firmware on the tracker - which I do! I logged out of the app on my phone, re-logged in and re-synced. I factory reset the tracker! and re-added as a new device! Can you sense my frustration? All of this trouble shooting and yet still it is showing the time 4 hours ahead. Help me please.

Having problems today with time on my fitbit. I am an UK expat living in Middle East. My phone is set to location UK, my timezone on app is GMT +4. Normally no problems, but today, all of a sudden, my watch is showing GMT time. I went to app settings to try to correct, tried changing location to same as timezone, but find there are only 50 countries on the list. WTF!! There are 195 countries in the world, what about all the rest? I re-set my phone location, but since fitbit doesn't have UAE in it's country list, it won't appear in the app that way. So my fitbit is currently stuck at 4hrs earlier than my actual time - not much use. HELP!!!

Same for me. My location and timezone is Singapore (GMT+8) - It should be 9pm now, but it shows 1pm. I switched my time zone to Taipei and it's displaying the correct timing.

Hi guys,
This issue is caused by an update in a common Linux package called tzdata, it's not limited to just Fitbit but a variety of software.
It'll be fixed in due time by upstream. If you're not technical what this means is that the people who work on the tzdata program will eventually fix it or Google/Fitbit themselves will do so.
Due to the way timing is done there are multiple websites across the internet which keep track of time and software to interpret it. Your fitbit depends on these software and it should be solved soon.

No, the update is currently being worked on. It might take a while but rest assured this issue isn't affecting Fitbit only.

I am currently experiencing the same issue. I live in the caribbean using GMT-04:00. I put my Fitbit to charge in the usual manner last evening. When it was finished I put it back on and went to bed. I actually posted this topic to the community for assistance but now that I am searching for it, it cannot be found!
