Trying to add debit card to Versa 4 Google wallet

Hi 

I’m having problems setting up Google wallet on my new Versa 4 , Google wallet is fine on my android phone, but trying to add it to Fitbit account is becoming a nightmare! I’ve change it to Google wallet as Fitbit doesn’t support my uk bank.

I get as far as security code which I put in the agree, then it just keep saying, something went wrong please try later. I’m with Barclays Bank, UK is this a bank problem or Google/Fitbit?

I’ve been so looking forward to having this work as it didn’t on my last watch either!! Brain is mashed trying to sort this out!! 
Any help would be most appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Italian debit card.

Remove Old credit card on Fitbit 

remove Google pay

then read google pay

Debit card add

it should work then my doing great

pay for Costa coffee

my gym cappuccino 

and when I was no Hoilday last week

update Fitbit on Google apps

restart phone

I have iPhone14.
Card is added but requires a confirmation by the bank by phone call, but my tells me that there should be a problem of connection between the two operating system as my ID is confirmed by the bank and by the bank app. I can see my new card on google wallet but it doesn’t work on Fitbit. It is like the adding process is interrupted and cannot continue without the code that the bank should provide by phone! If I select another option to confirm my ID it give me none but the phone call to the bank. That”s crazy and had not happened with my previous cards.
