Versa 4 Black Screen

I bought 2x Versa 4s about 2 years ago now, one for myself and one for my son.

My son's one a few days ago ran out of battery completely and after charging only has a blank/black screen.

What do we do?

There are a few things I'd like to know before we start doing anything.

Could you please tell me if you can synchronize the device with your son's app? If so, please try restarting the device by holding the button for about 10 seconds.

No it wont sync and sync has a red exclamation mark next to it.

Also the green light on the back of his Versa 4 isn't showing.

I am experiencing the same black screen  issue and it will not sync.

How do I submit a warranty request?

I am having the same issue.  I've tried everything that troubleshooting has said.  I keep getting the set-up device screen on my phone, but when I get to the verification code all I have is a black screen on my device.

My versa 4 screen is black for days now, I cannot use it at all. I even bought another charger thinking the original one is broken, but after charging it with the new charger it still won't turn on. Not sure what to do?????

Hey there @Verss4, thanks for letting us know about this and welcome to the Community. 

Have you tried cleaning the back of the device? Sometimes, dirt or dust can interfere with charging.

Please try the following:

  • Clean the back of your device: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and a small amount of water to gently clean the charging contacts on the back of your Versa.
  • Clean the charging cable pins: Use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to clean the pins on your charging cable. Make sure to remove any cotton fibers from the pins.
  • Try a different USB port or charger: Plug your Versa into a different USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.
