Announcing the release of Fitbit Firmware Update 1.184.52!
This update should now be available to all customers! If you have any difficulty updating, make sure you are following the directions in How do I update my Fitbit device?. If you choose to post about your issue, provide as many specific details as possible in your post so that we can assist you.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.
WHAT’S NEW AND FIXED
Google Pay is rolling out as a new payment option on your device. For more information, see What should I know about using my Fitbit device to make contactless payments?
Use the built-in speaker and microphone on your device to take calls from your wrist. For more information, see How do I take on-wrist phone calls with my Fitbit smartwatch?

@Renjaja There is a big difference between being owned by a company and having access to all their resources. Google bought Fitbit but they are run as a separate entity. They have to not only pay for Google Cloud, but need in-house expertise to make it all work.
Can they do it? Very likely. Will they do it when it has been working for years? Probably not.

Interesting thing to try. Turn off all internet on your phone mobile and wifi, then try to sync your watch. If it does work then change the time on your phone and see if it updates your watches time. If it will not communicate with the watch then that is worthy of a bug report.

So when you did it, what happened?
I’m not implying its your watch or phone, but curious whether it worked without internet access. If not that should be considered a bug for exactly what you and others on the cruise noticed.

@TGwaller Did you get the update yet? Still nothing on my Sense 2 (UK).
All I can get out of Fitbit customer "support" is the word soon.

I got an update from the Fitbit App. Now I am able to answer calls on my Versa 4. YEAH !!!!!
Open the Fitbit App on your phone. This showed I had an update pending.
Also got Google Wallet setup on watch now.
Still waiting for Third Party App Support like Spotify and Maps.

Just received my Versa 4. Says I have to update it, so I proceed with the update. It finishes downloading, and then halfway thru the installation, it quits and says can't finish with the installation. I have tried everything it says to get it to work, and it's still not doing it. I have tried this many times, and getting frustrated. Even used my boyfriends phone and still wouldn't work. Chatted with customer support and the they basically told me to do the same things I had been trying.
Has anyone else had this problem or know another way to get the new update installed??

I've been on the same firmware as you since I bought the versa 4 about a week ago. I see google wallet in the fitbit app, I set up a pin, and it shows me all my cards that are already in my Google wallet. But when I try to add any of them, none of them will work. 2 amex and 3 visa (chase, Barclay's, and usaa). Amex says not supported (even though your link says there are no amex cards unsupported) and the visas says "double check your card details and try again". Frustrating for these advertised features to not be working.

Same. I followed these instructions but don't see the "Change to Google Pay" option when tapping on the Wallet device tile. All I see is the Get Started screen for Fitbit Pay. If I go through that it prompts me to add a card. If I cancel that all I see on the app is Fitbit Pay Wallet - Wallet is empty.

Does your tile say Wallet, Google Wallet, or Google Pay?

Just says "Wallet". With a green icon of cards.

are you on the latest firmware (184.52)? Mine says Google Wallet with blue, red, yellow, and green wallet icon which I think is supposed to be the new one, but still not working for me

I've had same problem. Updated version approximately 30 min ago and still showing green wallet with fitbit pay no google wallet. Dont know if this is just luck or it fixed the issue. But after updating I then signed out of the app completely waited afew min and signed back In. Then when I went through the instructions profile -device - wallet it then gave me the option for Google pay and to set up pin and card. Haven't used it yet but this is the furthest I've got with trying to set it up so fingers crossed. So try signing out and back In. I had to reset my password as I had forgotten it.

I've had "double check" ur card details with one of my visa debits. Just Trying to put it on google wallet on my phone. Messaged my bank and they said they are aware of google pay issues with registering card and to call bank. So when I set up google pay on fitbit and it asked for registering a card I picked a different card from my wallet and not the one I've had issues with. Hope this helps
