7/13 Update: We’re continuing to roll out this firmware for the Versa 4 Firmware Update 194.61, and expect more customers are able to update their devices. This is a progressive rollout and all customers can expect to have it within a few weeks. We release updates in phases so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed. If you don't see the option to update, don't worry - you'll have it soon!
We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 194.61 for Versa 4 will be available soon! Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

HOW DO I UPDATE?
See How do I update my Fitbit device? for step by step instructions for updating your Versa 4. If you run into difficulty updating, review these Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
We’re interested in hearing your feedback on this update! Let us know what you like! If you encounter unexpected behavior during or after your update, please post the details below.
Any possibility of getting Hourly Activity syncing between the watch and the app to function on Versa 4?
Today the app said I had my 1:00PM activity completed at 1:55PM, but when I looked at it 15 minutes later, I guess it had changed it’s mind, cos it was unmarked.
Seems weird and like a bad glitch that the watch says 5/14 and the app says 4/14 and there doesn’t seem to be any way to correct it. Hourly Activity is one of 6 metrics I track (and 2 are redundant since distance and steps are measuring the same thing), so idk maybe fix it or delete it instead of keeping it as a frustration generator?

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @JenLK!
To not overload servers those updates are rolled out in waves. So we'll have to wait.
I don't believe that anybody has received this update yet based on a couple of reasons...one there are no responses that they had updated either successfully or unsuccessfully...the other is that i just setup this fitbit on Tuesday...from my experience, if there is an update out there that you haven't received yet, you can force it to update by doing a factory reset and setting up again.
Hopefully this is on hold, until the Charge 5 update fiasco is resolved and debugged.
My Mrs had her C5 brick itself this morning.
Looking through the threads about this update on the charge 5 and the sense 2 it looks like they haven’t started releasing it yet to Versa 4 people yet…which may be a good thing because I’m seeing a whole bunch off problems with the same updates on other watches. As far as the charge 5 bricking, I would try the hard reset 3 button trick…I brought back a bunch of ionics using that trick…but you have to hold your mouth just right while doing it.
I did not switch to google, but ever since the update, I cannot sync without a soft reset of the versa 4 or turning off/on bluetooth

Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to share your comments. As it was mentioned before, this update is progressively rolling out to all our members. While I understand how much you'd like to have it available, please wait until you see it available in order to install it.
@jdavis41302 I appreciate the steps tried and just to confirm, do you get an error message when trying to sync? Have you also exhausted the steps described in this help article? If not, please give them a try and make sure other Bluetooth connections are turned off to prevent any interference with the connection between your Fitbit device, and Fitbit app.
Best AnswerI've got an Andriod phone, mine stopped syncing too. Fitbit also wouldn't charge, phone wouldn't find to re pair the devices. I've had to factory reset the fit & lose everything to get it working again 😔 Seems to have sorted itself after updating the firmware
I am having the same issues Only way to sync is to turn Bluetooth off and on.Battery life is half of previous life. Fitbit, what’s the deal?
Exactly. I plan on calling technical support when I have a minute or hour and reporting it. I hope we can back out the update or at least getting them aware that they need a fix.
