Best AnswerThis is my first FitBit which I received as a Christmas gift in 2023. I loved it until this update. Suddenly it does not seem to track my heart rate correctly and when I check my HR manually, FitBit is registering it 10 or 15 bpm lower. This affects my zone minutes and I'm so frustrated I want to toss it out the window. Also, the battery life has decreased. And the app consistently shows up to a 300 step discrepancy from the Fitbit itself (app shows higher step count

This update is a disaster, The battery life of my only 4-month-old fitbit Versa 4 has been reduced to half, and while I am in India, it gives me Greenwhich mean time, which I never asked for. Extremely disappointed in this update.(btw anyone have any way to fix this?(the time problem) i have exams coming up and was going to use the watch for time management, but now i cannot. i tried factory resetting, restarting, and switching the time zones to other ones, but it still didn't change. I invoke consumer warranty rights man like seriously this update has been nothing but a disaster also why do we need Youtube Music Premium to use the feature already included in my watch, because I already had Fitbit Premium (not anymore tho))

I encountered the same problem too. Changing to KL, Singapore does not work but Perth works magically. Would appreciate if Google Fitbit can fix this.
Since the update the heart rate monitor is really, extremely off. I will start walking and my heart rate will be in the 80s and it should be higher, then it will go as high a 180. If I stop walking for a second, it immediately goes back down to the 80s. I used another monitor at the same time just to see and my Versa 4 was so off. I have had many Fitbit devices and they just get worse. I always give Fitbit another chance, but I will not be buying another device.
Well, my Versa 4 had totally bricked! I tried everything possible to reconnect the device to my phones. (I figured if it didn't connect on one phone, maybe it would connect on the other?) Neither phone even detected my Fitvit. Last best hope was for a factory reset. Now, I get the "go to the Fitbit app on your phone," screen, but the Fitbit is not detected, as before, by any Bluetooth device. I can't even use my Versa as a simple watch, let alone a fitness tracker. I currently have a useless bangle for my wrist.
I think this is what is happening to me too!
This update has screwed up my calorie tracking. It used to be that it would list calories in and calories burned and the calories remaining FOR THAT TIME OF DAY based on how active I've been. Now it has switched to showing the calories estimated to be burned by the end of the day and how many that means I have left TOTAL. It's making it hard to budget because that number keeps changing. I like the old way, bring it back!! And in the "learn more" it says I have the option to switch it but then it doesn't work...when I go to the dashboard on the internet site, the option that's supposed to be there isn't and it says I have to go to the dashboard in the app. But the app doesn't have the option to change the way the calorie counting/diet stuff works. Very frustrating!
And now my Versa 4 has stopped syncing altogether... Seems like this update needs rolled back!
I've got the reverse. The phone is working fine and keeps tracking (maybe I should say, it tracks more than the watch, but it freezes up too) but the watch is almost 700 steps behind all the time. I have installed and uninstalled the app figuring it would find the watch, not happening. If I wanted a phone to keep step with me I'd have picked a free one off the internet.
2 issues I have after this update:
1. My Versa keeps alerting that my heart rate dropped below 50 BPM resting heart rate, but the heart rate history screen doesn't show my heart rate anywhere near that low.
2. When I start my exercise, Treadmill, Elliptcal, etc, at exactly the 5 minute mark, it displays "End this exercise" Yes or No and I haven't touched the fitbit.
Best AnswerSince the update, my Versa 4 GPS does not stay connected. The other day, every 6th step the Versa vibrated. It's very irritating when on a 5-mile walk! I have restarted my phone, turn on/off Bluetooth, and tried to restart my Versa. When I do that, the logo shows up and then a red X, so I don't know what to do with that! I know that trees, buildings, clouds, blah, blah, blah, impact connection. That would mean that if I'm out in the open without a cloud in the sky there should be NO issues! This is what I get:
Good to know that you actually have an exercise log - for me it simply says I haven’t done any.
As someone with over a quarter of a century’s experience in software development, testing and service management, what I don’t understand, in the third week now of these issues, is why they haven’t rolled back to the last working version.
Also - why try and sweep it all under the carpet and pretend nothing is happening? This guarantees to alienate your customer base. They’re not stupid.
This is not what you would expect from Google - very, very poor.
This "update" has wreaked havoc with my fitness! My Fitbit app consistently shows 400 more steps than my Versa 4. I reset the Versa 4 and reconnected (losing all my information for that day on my watch but not my app), and it worked for 30 minutes, then boom, the 400ish discrepancy was there again and has continued today. Anyone have similar issue and/or find a solution? I just ordered a brand new Versa thinking it was my watch (which is less than a year old). Now I am just agitated!
