We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 210.26 for Versa 4 has been released to all our members. Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!

We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.

*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

I've had a Fitbit Versa 4 for a month now. Ever few days it begins to act up. For example the sincing won't end, the calories in the food consumption section don't properly reflect for the accurate caloric budget status. Sometimes I have to log out on my watch and restart it. Sometimes it works and other times not. It's not been performing well for over a day now. Not sure what to do, but it's awfully frustrating. I'm starting to lose faith in the product and brand.

Any advice to keep it working optimally?

I was told to go to their Twitter account @FitbitSupport. It doesn't seem
like the Community board offers help on the latest update.

Hello morkelbel123

This is only my opinion.

I have just read your post above. I did the recent update a few months ago, there were a few hiccups initially but soon resolved. I love my Fitbit Versa4 it's worn continuously except for showers, charging, and cleaning. I have used it for 21 months from new. When required,I have experienced excellent assistance with the Fitbit Community Support team.

Possibly, if you could scroll up from your post, there are instructions for the Firmware Update 210.26 Versa4.

I hope this is helpful.

It appears the issues with my Versa 4 have resolved themselves somehow. I’m occasionally having a minor issue but nothing like it was right after the update.  So glad to have my Versa 4 back in operation!  Thank you Fitbit for whatever you did to resolve this!

Thanks for the advice. Nothing is working on my watch at the moment - just a black screen. I have removed the App from my phone and re-installed it at least a dozen times over the last week and one half with no joy. I have used Fitbit since 2015 and my current Versa4 for close to the last two. I would love to use it as I like the Fitbit APP on my IPad feedback format. I have replaced it with another Company’s Watch which I like but their IPad feedback does not appear near as good as Fitbit. (Partly I suspect as I am so much more familiar with Fitbit)
I will leave it plugged in and hope for it to come back to life but refuse to buy another Fitbit Product at this point.

Have a good one!

This Versa 4 has been the 4th Fitbit i’ve bought and it will be my last. It’s the worst tracking device ever, i was excited for the GPS tracking, large screen and various extra tracking capabilities from my previous fitbit. Being able to leave my phone home and just use this to track my workouts was what I was most looking forward to.
recently it’s only been tracking my first mile and then switches off the tracking.
i’ve had issues with continuously vibrating on my wrist for no apparent reason. I’ve had to switch all heart rate zones off because of this issue. It has never worked as advertised for me and Fitbit has no customer care to deal with this issue let alone replace the device that clearly is not fit for purpose.
I’m so disappointed in this device, Fitbit have been no help even though i’ve had issues from the beginning. I regret buying this fitness watch. Goodbye Fitbit after being a customer for so many years

I have been getting all the same issues with my Versa 4 since the last update, device update and time change!  Plus it doesn’t track any of my sleep time or any of my exercises and when I set it for a walk, I’ll walk 4 km and it tells me I walked  0.03 km! To top it all off, I have to pair it again every morning now! This was a definite downgrade instead of an update and I am very upset since I just got this Versa 4 14 months ago.
Not only did Google take the fun right out of Fitbit they made it so it’s not even reliable to track your fitness or sleep pattern anymore!

All I’ve experienced are new issues since the “update”. I have lost tiles that I previously used so now I can’t use the ‘find my phone’ feature or the ‘alarms’ feature. My alarms still go off, but I can’t change them which has become a major issue. I might as well switch to an Apple watch at this point because I have never had so many issues with a Fitbit before and I’ve been a Fitbit user for at least 6 years.

Same issue . For some days it was turning off automatically during the day and I had to start it by connecting the charger. This worked for a few days and then now the watch has completely stopped turning on. The Fitbit logo appears when I try to start the watch and after some time the red X appears. After putting to charge, the watch doesn't turn on or does vibrate. I'm so stuck. @LizzyFitbit please assist what to do or whom to contact for help.

Following but not super hopeful I'll hear something I haven't already tried dozens of times!

Immediately after the update, my Versa 4 stopped working. It just blinks the logo several times then the big red X. I have reset it over and over and eventually got it to work for about 4 days. Then it started the whole mess over. My Versa was just shy of 2 years old and was working perfectly before the update. Now I can't even get the screen to come on. I gave up and bought a new one while they were on sale. 😡

I just updated my versa 4 and now the clockface has changed colour (from blue to pink) and i can't get it to change back. I am selecting the blue option in my phone app but nothing changes despite resyncing my watch multiple times. I have tried turning the watch on and off and it is infuriating!!!!!

Today I received my refurbished (used) replacement for my original Versa 4. It locked up on the “Connected!” check mark screen straight out of the envelope and I’ve spent 40 minutes on the phone with Fitbit troubleshooting (steps I already tried) to no avail.

asked about a refund to finally move on but they won’t honor a refund, and even *another* replacement requires you to meet some threshold of tortured “troubleshooting” attempts with their techs on the phone. I couldn’t do another hour+ on the phone to that end so I ended the call. They seem to have direction to make it as tedious as possible to play out the clock on customers.

seems everyone here (except admin) knows that the software / hardware combo just does not work in many, maybe most cases. But instead of acknowledge it they are trying to weasel out of it. cheaper in the short run, I guess.

good luck with that Fitbit! Loyal customers are hard to come by though, and they/ we seem to be done with it

I am struggling with the update in terms of the weight section.

I really liked the previous version where It was very easy to see my weight each day for the week. I also liked it displayed my average weekly weight. As I am trying to lose weight it was easy to look at the weekly average for each week and compare. Now it's gone and its just a list of weights. It's not very user friendly.

I'm also struggling with the fact it's randomly deleted months worth of weights from my list. I've had my fiebit for years and now the majority of my logged weights have gone. It seems to be deleting all the weights I've logged and only keeping that weeks worth.

Please fix this back to the original version. If it wasn't broke why change it.

Killed battery life. Went from several days, to charge every night. Upset that I ordered a 2nd versa 4 as a Christmas gift, now I feel bad for ordering this. The update has messed the versa 4 up horribly.

I have the same problem... I haven't managed to get it to work yet, it has become worthless!

As I was trying to get a refund, the customer service supervisor I spoke with said that they are aware of the firmware problem and are actively notifying customers about the issue. I asked how, and she said via email.

Has anyone received such an email? If so, can you please share it? Seems like good grounds for customers to get their money back. I asked her for this company email to customers via an email of my own but she never responded. And of course, my refund request was denied. I'm waiting now to find out if they are going to give me a google store credit.

I don't need a refund, please update the software via cable... Because now there is only the company logo and a black screen, I have no way to write down the synchronization code! The watch is dead! Due to the company's negligence, how can something like this be released for official distribution? You don't have testers?

To better assist you, please confirm that you've tried the factory reset as follows: Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again. Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.

It helped me, try it yourself
