We’re excited to announce that a firmware update version 210.26 for Versa 4 has been released to all our members. Some of you might already have this update available. If you installed it, let us know what you think!
We release updates to customers in phases. If you don’t see it, check the Fitbit app in a few days, and you’ll see a message when you can install the update. We appreciate your patience while we get this update to all of our customers.
*Firmware releases are not distributed based on region or location and can reach anyone no matter where you reside. We do not recommend performing a factory reset to force the update to your device as your data will be lost and you may not get the update. Please be patient and wait until you see the update banner inside of the Fitbit app to begin the firmware download.

Thanks everyone for your comments. You’ve convinced me not to go the Versa 4 way. Asked questions at the Google Store about the Versa 4 having the same problem as my Versa 2 and got a ticket and when the reply came it was asking what the problem was. I restated and haven’t had a reply since (2 months ago). Still getting emails offering $70 off. How can Google sell these products to unsuspecting customers?

Call Google to see if your Fitbit can be replaced. It's starting to seem like their update has affected so many devices in the wrong way. Surely this was not supposed to happen, but now you have some users leaving the Fitbit community which sadness me so much. Hopefully they can do something for you.

Sometime last year a prior update bricked my fitbit Versa4 ....I called to complain and they offered me $30 off my next one. Like an idiot ...I bought in.
Every single update makes their product worse. I wish I could go back to what we had 3 years ago. Everything was more accurate and worked better. This current application is useless.
I would like recommendations on the best replacement. I have the apple watch but I hate the fact it has to be charged daily. The only advantage that fitbit provided was a 5 day life between charges.

You're right, they are not standing by their product. I guess we're not important to them. I hope whatever you choose to do will be something better. It does suck that they give you a refurbished replacement.

Hello, srdennis. In reply to the above. I consider myself very fortunate. My Versa4 is 20 months since it was purchased. It's worn continuously except for showers and charging. I keep the back of the watch clean by gently wiping with a soft cloth (lint free). After updating,I had a minor issue, which was quickly resolved. (I'm elderly) It's two months now, and I'm happy with my Fitbit Versa4.
This is my experience only.

Not sure if it was the update, but now my Fitbit does the thing where it flashes the logo with the black then blue background, then goes to a red x. It then restarts and does the same thing until the battery is dead. I have had no luck at all with any of the factory resets listed on this forum or any other for that matter. How do I get this fixed or replaced? thanks!

I just had this happened to me after shutting down and restarting my Versa 4. Panicked, because the red x was the signal of death for my Fitbit Charge last year.
Fortunately, it restarted again and recovered. One piece of advice I read is to unpair Bluetooth before shutting down and restarting. Have not tried yet.
i have to shut down my Versa 4 and remove and reinstall app about once a week when GPS stops working.

This update has not gone well for me as well. Often times I will raise my wrist to check the time, only for the watch face to freeze and not allow me to view my stats. Additionally, I have noticed that even scrolling through menus is choppier and even lags out at times. Please fix!!!

Glad I don't have a Versa 4. Looked at the specs. and the WiFi has been disconnected and can't be reconnected. Google has a plan.

This is only my opinion. I always use Alexa as an alarm. This works well for me.

Already put my Versa4 on the shelf and have moved to another brand - when my Versa worked I liked it better but I am gone for good as I am 76 years old and have not got the patience for this nonsense.
