My new versa 4 wont read heart rate and when i try to reset it a red x shows up

I'm glad to help you with the heart rate reading of your Versa. I appreciate you have spent some time troubleshooting this issue.

We have known that issues with heart rate can be resolved by turning off the sensor and then turning it back on. You may follow specific instructions on how to find these settings on your device in our help article How do I track heart rate with my Fitbit device? below the section "How do I turn on heart rate tracking?"

In regards to the red cross, most of the time this behavior occurs when a firmware update has failed to complete. This being said, how did you reset your device? Did you follow the steps listed in our help article How do I restart my Fitbit device?
