Versa 4 Sleep Stages Benchmark

When tapping the Benchmark tab in Sleep Stages, the app drops. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app on iPhone 8. I’ve restarted the Versa and phone several times. Turned Bluetooth off and in. When I restart the watch, I get the logo then the red X then the logo again then the normal clock face.  I’ve synced numerous times. Data seems to be there but Benchmark throws me out.
Don’t think a factory reset will help. Is this scheduled obsolescence?

Hi @Schooner400, Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with the unexpected behavior the Fitbit app is currently presenting. I appreciate the troubleshooting you have attempted looking to resolve this issue.

In order to better understang what is happening with the Fitbit app, please clarify what you mean with "the app drops" Does it halt? Does it suddenly close ? Does nothing?

In addition, the red x you describe is not a expected behavior; so please follow the instructions below:

Important: Don’t unpair your device or uninstall the Fitbit app because you might not be able to pair the device again.

1. Sync in the Fitbit app. From the Today tab, tap the devices icon > their device > Sync Now.
2. If Sync Now doesn’t show an update banner, tap the devices icon and then "Versa 4" > Gallery. The app should show a pop up to install the missing apps and recover the device.
3. Restart your device. Refer to How do I restart my Fitbit device? Help Center article for instructions.

Hello. To clarify, when I tap Benchmark, the app closes immediately. The sleep stages are there. Also, goals were lost-more on that below.
About the red X …. Upon pressing the button on the device until the logo appears and then releasing, the logo flashes a few times, then the red X, then screen is blank for a few seconds, then the logo appears again but with a less bright flash and then finally, the clock face appears.
The app and firmware are up to date but I uninstalled and reinstalled the app anyway. No change to the issue but I was able to see goals again.

Hope this helps.
