I just upgraded to versa 4 from versa 2. I never had a voice response problem with my 2. But for some reason I can't use the voice response on my 4. All I get is oops transcription error. I only upgraded to receive and talk on the phone feature. Not sure at this point if the switch was worth it.

I got rid of my sense 2 and got the versa 3 for Google assistant and still have the error too. I ended up creating a new fitbit account, now my voice messages work 😊

Hi Linsayloo
Thank you very much, it works.
I had to use a different email, since the personal email was associated with Google and can no longer be disassociated. But it worked. You did more in 10 minutes than the devs in a month 😂
For anyone struggling with transcription, follow these steps to create a new fitbit (and therefore non-Google) account so you can use transcription.

It actually worked. Maybe devs need to take lessons from you!!! Kind of crazy that I have to create a whole new account but at least it's working. Still no Google wallet though

Back to the Fitbit account. No problem. Everything is working. It's all a Google problem!

I tried creating a new email after logging out of both the fitbit website and the fitbit app. When I logged into fitbit with my new email (not associated with my Gmail acct), the Gmail icon still showed up and the voice response to text still doesn't work. Arrgh!

After all the problems I've had, no tech support whatsoever. No answers. The worst runaround ever. No fix in sight....and a firmware that's rolling out and bricking devices?? REALLY??? RETURNING MINE TODAY...
Also...for everyone with the transcription error. This is due to the Google migration!! Keep your account with Fitbit and you won't have this problem. I saw where someone listed address for new account setup..Bravo!! I would do it soon before they disable it.

You have to log out of EVERYTHING. Then use this link https://www.fitbit.com/signup. Create a NEW ACCOUNT USING AN UNUSED EMAIL. When ur done, log into Fitbit and run through setup.....I should mention you will lose all your stats and premium access.(but at least it works).
TECH NON-SUPPORT STILL HAS NO ANSWERS.

Last week, I got a brand new Versa 4 and was puzzled how can a brand new, latest device has this problem. Yesterday, returned mine and paid £20 extra and got a Garmin. Everything works perfectly
