Versa 4 battery draining after the update

My versa 4 updated last week. It was holding a charge for about 6 days, prior to the update. Now it lasts 2 days. My settings are minimal as it is. I don't think I can change much more. I hope this issue resolves, and quickly. These things cost too much to not last any longer than I've had it! 😞

Hi there, @DCS76. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Versa 4 started draining after the update. I understand your concern and how you must be feeling, I will do my best to help you with this!

Since you mentioned that this started happening after the update, please try to logout of the Fitbit app and swipe off the active face on your phone and turn off the phone's Bluetooth, then hold the watch button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start. In this disassociated state the battery should last as before.

Nevertheless, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend taking a look at this help article Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

I am also having this issue since the update.

I have performed all battery saving amendments like checking my settings and using default watch faces and my watch doesn't last a day.

To imply it's the age of the watch which I see in all the copy and paste replies from the fitbit staff is ridiculous, the watch is less than 2 years old and was working perfectly fine before Google kept rolling out dodgy updates which I doubt they've tested.

It's not you, it's the last update.

The last update took battery time from 3-4 days, to 5-6 hours.

No notifications, adjusted/removed as much tracking as possible and still only 5-6 hours.

I made the mistake of doing a factory reset and now it is in a forever boot loop and I never get to the watch face at all. I don't think I want to buy another one now after reading these posts.
