Versa 4 blank screen

In August my Versa 4 started recording much more stairs than I was doing. Recently the screen just keeps going black and only comes alive again when I put it on charge. Then, shortly after puting  it on my wrist it goes black again. I have tried restarting it. I have  done a factory reset. Changed clock faces. Nothing gets it to work. I see from other community posts that a lot of people are having the same problem and Fitbit/Google have not come up with a resolution or even answered their posts. I have been a Fitbit user for over 8 years but I feel I have to now buy a new smart watch and have lost all faith in Fitbit products and their support so decisions decisions..... 

Any advice on remedies for my problem greatly appreciated.

I hear you! I have the deadly black screen on my Charge 5 & have had wacky changes with sleep times, # of steps, HR, etc.. I've done their suggested solution numerous times & it works for a few minutes, then it's useless. I'm patiently waiting for Google to fix it because so many folks are having related issues.

This is a known issue to Google as there are hundreds of posts relating to this. People are waiting on a resolution. Why do i need to go to support? Why can't you just pass this to support for as another person with this problem?
