I just bought the Versa 4, so I am still learning how to use it. I had the Versa 2 and l could install many apps to my clock through the Fitbit app. But with the Versa 4 l can not install any apps. I just have the apps that are already installed on the Versa 4 like 'relax, weather, alarms, alexa' and so forth. I would like to install more apps. Can l install more apps to my clock (Versa 4) through the Fitbit app, or l can't install any apps?
Thank you.

Mine won't pair to make calls or get texts. We both have it bad, lol.
I am happy to have read it before switching my versa lite to versa 2 - and instead get a charge 5. Lets see how it goes and if Fitbit will offer third party apps at some point. Also… are they blocking the SDK due to the google wallet feature?
I "upgraded" from the versa 3. I still come and check once in a while to see if Fitbit will do the right thing and give us what we paid for. I didn't return it because it said that apps were coming and never did. I paid good money for the Versa 4 so I'm keeping it while actively looking for something better. This was totally a scam.
Yes it is a downgrade, they meant to downgrade it intentionally. Google bought Fitbit, Google began selling pixel smart watches after the Versa 3, pushing their pixel watches hard. The pixel watches cost a good amount more than the Fitbit, so they didn’t want to features to be the same, or for them to be competing. Of course, there wasn’t actually anything better about the pixel watches justifying the markup, so they just lobotomized the Fitbit’s so it would be better by comparison. So yes, you did get swindled. If the lack of apps bothers you, “we have a wonderful new pixel watch on offering which supports lots of amazing 3rd party apps, such as google maps, and it’s only $150 more than the Fitbit!”
I completely agree. I was very happy with my Versa 3 until it stopped working after a number of years. I just assumed Versa 4 would be an updated and improved version of Versa 3.

Hi, did you know if you just got your watch and are unhappy with it Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.
The cheaper Versa 3 is still available in shops and online in some places. Or some Garmin watches offer longer battery life and more features.

Best AnswerThis is hard for me - I thought I upgraded from my Versa 2 but I don’t even have the basics I did before. I used my calculator app daily. Fitbit should at least offer their own alternative. I would honestly return it if I hadn’t already tossed the box.

I am soooo upset by this. My upgrade is now a downgrade I am stuck with. Had Fitbit responded on this at all?
Yes!!! I feel swindled. Fitbit should offer us to swap for something functional for free

Hi @PaisleyJane834 - not sure the box is important for a refund, chat via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.
If you are unhappy they may accommodate you you, and if you get another Versa 2 you will be able to use the same clocks and apps as before.
