After purchasing a Versa 4, based on articles that GOLF GPS works with "Versa", I now discover the app is from an "outside developer", and the newer "better" Versa 4 will not work with any golf gps range finder apps.
Every review I read on Golf apps showed it was compatible with early versions of Versa-Foolish of me to assume the updated, more expensive new versions would work -instead of do less.
I needed a new tracking device as my 16 month old Charge 5 started receiving constant "add a card to wallet" messages, and suddenly needed the battery charged several times a day. Of course it was out of the 1 year warranty, Fit bit support had no suggestions or fixes other than to offer a discount on a replacement.
It's becoming clear that since being purchased by Google, Fitbit is going to be allowed to die a slow death.
I will likely be returning this device, and will purchase a non google product with Golf GPS capabilities

So what is it that you are asking for?

Not " asking" for anything.
Thought people looking for a device that is reliable and works for golf would like to know the Versa 4 no longer will do that, before they waste their time only to discover the new version won't work for golf. I did not easily find that information before my purchase.
I bought an apple watch (which works great with 18 Birdies, Arcoss, and Golfshot) instead.

I was hoping the Fitbit Versa 4 would be able to utilise golf range apps… I’ve searched loads of sites with no joy. This now confirms I have no other alternative other than to buy a Garmin for my golf.
Very disappointed with Fitbit to say the least as I too decided to buy the versa 4 rather than the cheaper versa 3 which ALLOWs golf apps to be loaded a huge 👎👎👎👎 for the Versa 4

The versa 4 doesn't allow any 3rd party apps. Rumor has it that the rest of the fitbit line will soon follow suit
