Well I restarted my Versa 4 and now today it counted 364 floors!!! I only climbed about 7 the rest of the time I was in my vehicle. Again— a fail. From one extreme to another! Frustrating!
Yes I am aware it works by measuring barometric presser-yes I am aware about the exercise tracking and gps-and no it is not subjected to moisture.
come on Fitbit. Never had a day of problem with my old Ionic. This is not an improvement! Try not registering elevation when the motion is 100km per hour.

Hi there, @Tamborine1. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums and trying to troubleshoot the inconvenience with your Versa 4. I understand where your concern is coming from and how you must be feeling.
Please note that your Fitbit device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Devices may track floors while doing everyday tasks such as opening doors, driving, or riding elevators or escalators, or from abrupt weather and atmospheric pressure changes. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors. For more information, see: Why does my Fitbit device count extra floors? You can also find more information about tracking activity in this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity?
Said that, here are some of the possible causes for this inaccuracy:
