Versa 4 keeps vibrating and showing a shoe

I gave my father a versa 4 for a gift. After two weeks of wearing it now the thing vibrates frequently and reflects the shoe icon. This is bothering him to point he wants to throw it in a drawer. Restart of fitbit didn't work. I'm trying to avoid doing a factory reset as I don't want him to lose his data.  Any thoughts.

Hi there, @Ryansaunt34. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand how bothering this can be to your dad. We're here to help you!

Regarding the shoe you're talking about, please note it appears when the user meets the step goal. For more information, see How do I track my health and fitness goals with the Fitbit app? As @Guy_ has suggested, you could try changing the step goal to a higher number to avoid this from happening.

Hi @Ryansaunt34 - if you do a sync before a factory reset no data will be lost but, you may not be able to set it up as before because EEA and UK users are now denied full access to download clock faces from the online Gallery.

You could try changing the step goal to a large amount in the Fitbit App and syncing or even try changing clock face in case this is a feature of the chosen clock face.
