The GPS is useless on this unit. It disconnects repeatedly, even in the middle of open air. Apparently if the watch experiences such disconnection it will not save the map profile. These units are not ready to ship as they are. Not the first of such comments about fitbit devices. Pretty sure this will be my last one, so tired of their poor practices.
I went back to my Versa 3 and it had no issue recording the map for my lunchtime walk. The Versa 4 is on its way back to Fitbit for a refund.
I am having the same issues and am frustrated...tried the trouble shooting etc. Went from a Versa 2 to a Charge 5 -- Charge 5 had no weather app and was limited in some items but I was able to have all of my exercise mapped. Thought Versa 4 would save the day and then realized the GPS is iffy at best. Really need that mapping to save and be documented. Can't we please get an upgrade!!! I see that may are having the same issue. Works in some different models so why not here?
