Versa 4 not tracking heart rate correctly

This is my second Versa that have a problem with reading my pulse rate when I do my morning walk in cold weather. When the first Versa had the issue, I brought another one. This morning, when I started my walk, it was reading like it normal would but after an hour, it was reading as if I was sitting home at rest. Afterward, it never got above 95. So it went from 136 to 95 and I still had another hour to do.

Hello, @Mfins72, welcome to the Fitbit Community.

Thanks for informing me about this situation in regards to the heart rate tracking of your Versa 4.

My best recommendation would be for you to check you're wearing your Versa 4 correctly and restart the Versa 4 before you start your next workout in a cold weather. To be honest, weather should not impact the Versa 4 to track correctly so let's try this and see how it goes.

I am literally getting the same thing. I will get up and move which is fine, goes from say 74 to 94... Then all of a sudden it shoots to 124 and then back down to 74 within seconds. Does the same thing when I walk as well. Will go from 95 and up to 132 as you would expect and then drops down to 84 or something and stays at that.

I also find at times, you can flick onto heart rate when sat down, it will say 83 and then not move for 30 seconds and suddenly drop down to 69.

I have spoken to Fitbit but nothing seemed to help, and yes I'm wearing the device correctly.

My Versa 4 has stopped tracking steps since early in the New Year. Still tracks steps in the hour part, intermittent in the cardio.  Sleep tracks well. This is not a temperature issue.  I haven’t yet checked if I’m still under warranty.  I’ve powered off and on and cleaned well without success. Suggestions?
