Hi, yesterday my versa 4 suddenly stopped working. It now flashes on with the Fitbit sign if I hold the side button for 8 seconds but then turns to a big red X. I have tried forgetting the versa on my app like other posts say. Also disconnected Bluetooth on/off.
my phone now won’t recognise the versa…. Help!

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Keldog77.
Thanks for letting me know about this situation in regards to the red x showing in your Versa 4, I know how you can feel, I'll do my best to help you.
I also appreciate the steps you followed, my best recommendation for you right now would be to factory reset the Versa 4:
- Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off and vibrates. When you feel the vibration, release the button, then immediately press and hold the button again.
- Wait for the Fitbit logo to appear, then as soon as the logo disappears, release the button, then press and hold the button again.
- When you feel the vibration, release the button, then wait for the watch to complete the factory reset.
Same issue. Followed the recommended steps but issue has not been resolved
I have the same issue but Factory reset does not work it keep coming back to the screen asking me to select the language. This just happened out of the blue! and my Versa 4 was fully charged earlier in the day so it was over 90%. It does not allow the reset. i push and hold and no vibration until i release the button, then it vibrates once, i press again and same thing.. any ideas?
Guess what? I called Google/FitBit Help Desk. Their only remaining option was to provide me a 35% discount on a new, replacement Versa4 since mine was over a year and thus out of warranty. My new one should be arriving any day. HOWEVER, while waiting I hooked my current Versa4 to ensure it was fully charged. I then got this bright idea to UNINSTALL the FitBit App from my Android, then REINSTALL the App. I then tried another RESET on the Versa4 ... Lo and Behold, they connected and the Versa4 updated, restarted, and is now functioning!!!

Best AnswerThey also offered me the same thing, but I am hesitant to buy another one because of this horrible experience.
I will try this and I hope it works 🙄
