Versa 4 updating between watch and app all over the place. For example, it just tracked my steps to 2957 and switched suddenly to 2880, then 2915, then 2928
Yesterday it went up to 18,900 when I was only at 7k???
I've factory reset it, re-synced, deleted app, updated app, etc. It didn't do this until a week ago

I have noticed this same problem today. I recently started a step—thon at work as well so my steps are extra important to me right now so I can remain accurate. Sounds like it’s either an issue/bug with the Versa 4 unless other watch users are having the same issues. Hopefully it will be resolved soon but it’s encouraging to know it’s not only my watch having the issue.

Hi @Juliadragon95 - fortunately it's not a problem with your watch, unfortunately there is no fix and it's obviously very frustrating - you can follow more here Unreliable step counting bug
It's related to processing on the Fitbit servers and syncing, the only workaround is to turn off Bluetooth and use the watch in standalone mode.

Has an update patch or similar been released for this issue?
Best AnswerWhen will an update be issued regarding this? It is driving me insane that the steps keep drastically changing!
I get an alert to say I've hit my daily steps target & then half an hour later it's dropped over a thousand below my step goal?!
I have been experiencing the exact same thing the last couple of days. Plus also my Fitbit bit tracking all my steps nor flights of stairs despite me going up the same flight all day. It only tracked around half and my steps tracked sporadically.
Best AnswerI have been having this issue on and off for a few weeks now, it can be Infuriating during a workout.
Keep having to restart the watch and restart the phone and turning Bluetooth on and off
The App and watch only sync about 50% of the time.
Please can you let us have an update on this issue? As well as erratic step counting, the sleep data is now all over the place too! I’m close to just binning my Fitbit, and going with another smartwatch brand entirely.

Hi - unfortunately all we know currently is you have to wait while Google/Fitbit work on finding what was done to introduce the bug in the first and fix it.
This is all the more frustrating when they could just as easily roll back the change that was made and make it work again immediately.
