After the latest update I am unable to respond via voice to text on my versa 4. I keep getting the message transcribtion error. I have tried all the steps, restarting phone and watch, uninstalling the app, unpairing and factory reset. Any other ideas......
Moderator Edit: Clarified subject
The problem still isn't fixed. I bought a new fitbit Sunday thinking it was because I had an older version, but no still the same Transcription error
I refuse to buy another one as I like exactly what this does, or what it used to do. This needs to be fixed on their end. There is no way it should take this long to resolve this unless they want us all to leave!

Same. The microphone works as i can use Alexa, but I can no longer send a message using voice to reply to one. Just says transcription error. Really annoyed.

So frustrating. Fitbit need to sort this out, it looks like its been a few months now!
It's been much longer than a few months for me, but it seemed to only be reported a few months ago. This morning I saw there was an update waiting for the Fitbit app and had hopes this would fix it. WRONG! Updated the app. Restarted the phone and Fitbit and it still doesn't work. What is the matter with the people at Fitbit and why are they NOT fixing this. This is beyond crazy that it would take this long to fix this. Again though that's only true if they really intend on fixing this in the first place. I believe as of now they are never going to fix this! Complete bull......................
here's something I manged to download an old version. of the fitbit app way back to November 2025 and the problem is still there so im wondering if its the servers ..or samsung phones ....obversly not the watches ..has to be servers or phone beacuse its not the app
Another day and it's still not working!!!! Imagine that! MarreFitbit do you think you could get any sort of an update on this for us? This is really unbelievable that it's April now and this still isn't working and nobody from Fitbit will update this post?
I've also had this issue for 4 months. I did a factory reset and it didn't help. My Alexa also works fine. I reached out to Fitbit and they're aware of the issue but have no time when it will be resolved.
Please hurry up. This is ridiculous! It seems many people here have purchased the Fitbit mainly for this feature and it still doesn't work. We would y of paid what we did for a device that doesn't work. When I did research on this exact feature nothing came up with it being a problem. This should have already been fixed. Fix it!!

Moderator edit: merged reply
As far as I know there has been nothing. Last time I went to use mine, it said unavailable. Not sure if thats a new thing or a issue on my end. All I know is, I won't be purchasing a new fitbit when the time comes. They clearly dont care about the issue, or not enough people have complained.
I left a review on Amazon (where I purchased it) stating the issue and they have removed the review twice now.
I check every day on my phone for an update. Still nothing. Asking out here everyday just makes me a little happy! ha

Your post just came through and I just got off the phone with Fitbit support. They are going to email me the information they have on the transcription error. He told me I could post it on the forums. As soon as I get the email I will post it

Larry what were they going to email you and when? Also what did you mean check out under versa 4 category? Do you mean just keep checking the app store on our phones?
