Versa 4 stuck on a red X

My Versa 4 has been playing up a lot recently where the screen goes black, then it shows flashing Fitbit logo with a bright blue background on and off for a few minutes. I have had to complete several factory resets and usually this seems to solve the problem. However, yesterday my Versa 4 went black and wouldn’t turn on - I left it on charge for 3 hours and it responded with the flashing Fitbit logo followed by a red X across the screen. Despite being on charge for this amount of time, my Versa 4 is showing as 0% battery….when I take it off charge it doesn’t respond, but when on charge it vibrates, so the charger is working, but it’s not charging ( I have also tried different chargers, cleaning both the Fitbit charging point and the chargers - so I am sure it is a problem with the Fitbit, not the chargers).

I have tried holding down the side button for 20secs (factory reset) but not getting much response - just flashes, offers me to choose a language, lets me synch to phone….but still 0% and as soon as I take it off charge - it goes black. Please could someone advise me on what to do..?
