I’ve just come back from a trip and wanted to check my total step count while away. I’ve noticed that my step count has suddenly increased on the days I was away and the Fitbit app has added at least 10k steps a day onto the actual number of steps I completed. Even just flicking through the days shows a different number just second apart, and I’m not sure what’s going on here.
I haven’t got any manual inputs added or any activities added. The app is connected to a challenge app that I’m part of as a team, and it has also skewed those numbers as well, saying I’ve done over 40,000 steps a day (which is definitely not the case). Has anyone else had this problem? Does the change in time zones impact this at all? Only the days I was away are impacted.

Just to add, I’ve noticed that the app will say I’ve done steps when I know I’ve been asleep, which is making me wonder about the time zone issue.
I wear my watch when I sleep.
