Versa 4 terrible Firmware Update 214

My Fitbit Versa 4 has been behaving weirdly after updating to version 214. I used to get 5–7 days of battery backup, but after the update, the battery life is terrible (not even 12 hours). It turns off when the battery level is between 60–70%, and it won't turn back on until I connect it to the charger. Then, after about five minutes, the same issue occurs — it turns off again.

I am having the same issue since I installed the latest update (version 214), the battery lasts only one day, the screen goes black very often and the only way to turn on the device again is by plugging it. This never happened before, my Fitbit was working fine and I was very happy with it. They should release a new update to fix this. I contacted Google customer service and they offered me a replacement.

Update: after receiving the replacement, the new device works perfectly with the latest update. Customer service were very efficient resolving my issue.

I can't confirm which update caused the problem, but  am experiencing issues similar to what you describe. Fitbit is being phased out. I will not buy a Pixel product - which is what the 'new' owners of Fitbit want us to convert to. I am done with these brands. In fact, I may not buy another smart watch.

Did you ever get an answer? 100’s of people with same complaint and I don’t see where Fitbit commented at all. Mine has been doing same thing and all they told me was to buy a new one and offered 35% off. Unacceptable!!!

Nope. Never received a response. I stopped using my Fitbit weeks ago; the charge wouldn’t hold and it would shut down with no warning. I am smart watch free! It’s possible to live without one!

I contacted customer services, received a call from Google and agreed a
replacement, which arrived 5 days later. Customer service were very
efficient and I'm happh with their service and my new device, which works
perfectly after installing the latest update.

I thought I was the only one having issues!! Ever since the update, it doesn't track my sleep, and other things are not right either!

Fitbit needs to fix this!

Mine says to update. But it won't; been trying for over a day. Maybe I really don't want the update! Data won't transfer even though it says "synced." Frustrated. Bought it last year. With all the comments on here about the new update, sure seems they want us to buy a new watch.
