My versa 4 has stopped working today. It comes up to activate account, but it will not do anything after that. Tried the manual reset, get flashing turquoise screen then a big red x. No pairing information. Tried switching phone off, bluetooth, force quit on the app but nothing. Won't update. This issue seems to happen about 16 months into having a new Fitbit. How do I get this to work

A useful hint is the fact you saw a big red X on the screen after the Fitbit logo. It seems the set up or firmware update have failed.
In order to resolve this, follow the instructions below:
