Hi!
A few days ago my Versa 4 suddenly started to vibrate, then flashed the Fitbit logo a while and after that showed the red X.
It won't react in anyway when pushing the button shortly or longer.
I took Versa 3 to use and Versa 4 has been charging and for a while it tried to connect with my hubbys phone and my phone. So I tried to reconnect it with the app and the clock said "connected" but the app just kept the connecting going.. after an hour (and the clock had then showed the "load the app, become a member etc" screen) I ended the connection try, and since then the clock has stayed dead, unless its on charger and there it only flashes the logo and then again the red X and goes black.
Has it died or is there anything I can try anymore?
It is such a pity, if it dies after only 2,5 years of use.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome to the community forums @Kerppa.
Thank you for taking the time to share the information regarding this difficulty with your Versa 4.
Please, try to perform the following troubleshooting steps:
If Sync Now doesn’t work, tap Devices > Device > Tile to see if the firmware banner appears.
If the firmware update banner doesn't show, press and hold the side button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, then release the button.

I can't do that syncing, as there is now Versa 3 connected. Alltough it either did not work before and I also tried pressing the button for 8-10sec and got no response.

Now I was able to do run the update (as I took my old phone and the Versa 4 was showing there on the devices list), which the app hasn't even suggested before, but the clock keeps on being mute and black and doing nothing - unless when putting on charger it flashes for a while and then shows the red X and goes dead after it.

This does not help or work. I press and hold the side button until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, but then only a red X appears.

For some miracle my clock started to work yesterday, but the app says to update the device. It cannot be done. Todsy as I woke up in the morning, it had gone to the stage, where only the logo is on the screen and once again does not do anything else 🙄 put it on charger and tried to update again, but not able to do that. Very, very frustrating.

After reading a few comments and having a similar experience with my versa 4, it looks like it’s a software issue within the Fitbit app.
I’m crossing my fingers for an email from the company to remedy this.

Me too. It’s getting frustrating because I see more and more people having the same problem.

I called the helpline, tried some troubleshooting which didn’t help, but luckily mine is still under warranty so she’s sending me a replacement.
I hope you all get yours sorted out.
