Brand new versa 4 (just got it today). It charged to 48% and then stopped charging. I tried putting it in a different USB port, made sure the connection is clean but still not charging. In fact it's already down to 31%. Anyone have a suggestion before I reach out to Fitbit?

I have versa 4. If it's not charging. Try to reset device. On the versa 4 hold down button on the side for 10 seconds and see fitbit logo.

Hi @Cshaugh - inspect carefully the back of the watch, there may still be a tiny bit of plastic covering the contact points, you may need a magnifying glass.
Also the cable can be faulty see How to check charge cable - Sense 2/Versa 4 won't charge, won't start or blank screen
But first restart the watch by a holding the watch button for 10 seconds till it blanks or vibrates and wait for the logo to appear and for it to start.

This happened to me too. I just let it sit there sometimes and it fully charged. so just try to let it charge and it might take a while. Mine was stuck at 99 and 98% but I let it change and it took 10 - 15 minutes. Hope this helps and sorry if I'm wrong.

Hi @MrChubbo - thanks, you are correct, the last few % can take anything up to an hour in some cases and is probably not worth doing.
Charging to 98 or 99% is perfectly adequate in most cases.
That last 1% may be gives you 30 mins to 1 hour of battery life but if it takes 15 minutes to an hour to get it, you are better off wearing the watch and benefiting from it's use.
