Had the Fitbit a week and the last two days it keeps saying it can't sync and is down for maintenance etc. I'm on Android, anyone else having this issue?

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @DENBOB!
Having started at Jun 27, 15:58 PDT, there have been intermittent issues with logging in and syncing for Fitbit users who had migrated their Fitbit accounts to Google or had created a new Google account for their Fitbit devices because one of the corresponding Google servers was overloaded. This issue is resolved by now.

Hi @DENBOB - there may be an issue that needs refreshing.
Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.
Restart the watch by holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.
Login and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync.
If that doesn't work remove the Bluetooth entries for the watch from the phone and try the procedure again.
