Hi I’m trying to install Spotify on my new versa but it won’t let me install, it’s just greyed out and says in a red box to make sure the app and watch are both updated which they are. I live in Australia

Hi there @ElroyHarris, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for the steps you've tried so far in order to connect Spotify to your Versa.

Please note that Spotify is viewable in the app gallery for all smartwatch users. However, users will need to be on the most recent firmware (OS 4.0.2) to install it. As per the description of your post, it seems that you're still running an old version, Versa is now in version 32.70.7.14.

Also, have you checked if your phone is compatible? If you haven't, you can see the list of compatible devices at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

For more detailed information, take a look at: How do I control music playing on Spotify?

I hope this helps, let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi there @ElroyHarris, thanks for getting back.

I'd recommend to unpair your Versa due to once you set it up again, the process will ask you to update your smartwatch to the latest version.

In order to do so, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the Versa from the phone's Bluetooth settings.

2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.

3. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.

4. Setup your Versa as a replacement.

Give this a go and let me know if the steps work. 😉

Hi there @ElroyHarris, thanks for getting back and letting me know the outcome. I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Is your Versa still not updating? Is strange that the steps didn't work, would you mind trying them again? But before pairing your smartwatch again, please restart it by following the steps in the article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Spoiler
Got a versa for christmas and Spotify wont install due to not having the latest update.

32.33.1.30 is the installed firmware on the clock.

Can i somehow force versa to update now!?!?

While reading your instructions i found out that you need to have sync through out the day on, in order to update.

Can i force it to update now?

Or do i need to payiently wait for it to update by itself?

Hi there @Lotta_Versa, welcome on board. Thanks for the details provided.

Have you tried the steps I recommended in this post?

While reading your post I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

I'm looking forward to your response.

Hi @ElroyHarris, thanks for the update.

In my first post I asked about the compatibility of your phone, which was it? May I have the model?

Anyways, I'm very glad to hear that you could install Spotify on your Versa. 😉

Let me know if you have any questions present.
