Can't pair my Versa

My Fitbit will not reconnect to my Samsung 8... it was giving me trouble syncing all day yesterday... so, I thought completely removing it from the app and connecting it back again would resolve the issues... but, no! It will not connect... please help!

I feel your pain @SunsetRunner but if the phone and the tracker are not talking, telling Fitbit you do not want to use the tracker will only make things worse.

Let's first go to the help doc.

Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Try these troubleshooting steps if your device is not syncing

I'll note the important steps below, and add what has helped with my S8 .

  • The Fitbit app is installed on a supported phone or tablet. To check, see http://www.fitbit.com/devices.
  • The latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone or tablet.
  • Your phone has a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection.
  • The Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background on your phone. For more information, see Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?
  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone is on. To check, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Your software on your phone is up to date. To check, tap Settings > About Phone or About Device > Android Version.
  • You have location services turned on and the Fitbit app has permission to access your location. For more information see, Why is the Fitbit app prompting me to turn on location services?
  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it. For more information, see Why won't my Fitbit device sync to another phone or computer?
  • Your phone isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. For more information, see Is the Fitbit app for Android interfering with other Bluetooth devices?
  • Your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.
  • The firmware on your Fitbit device is up to date as described in How do I update my Fitbit device?
  • I'll add
  • Do you have another tracker on your account. you might want to sync it, then remove from your account.
  • Reatart the phone
  • Restart the tracker .
  • Better yet shut both the Versa and phone off.
  • Clear the fitbit's app cache and kill the Fitbit app. Not just swipe from memory .
  • Swipe any uneaded apps out of memory.
Now try a setup.

Welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

I would like to know if you keep having issues pairing your Versa? Have the instructions provided by our friend worked?

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy
