How can I track miles, calories, and time using an indoor stationary bike on Versa. I'm going to return it if I can't find a satisfying way. Thank you.

You can use the exercise app to track spinning (indoor Stationary bike).
There is a shortcut for Spinning, but it is not on the Versa by default, but it is one of the 15 you can choose from to put on your Versa (maximum of 7 on the watch) In your app go to your account (credit card icon in the top right) and select Versa. Scroll down to Exercise Shortcuts and select that. If there are 7 listed as on your versa you will need to remove one to get the list up of all those available (by selecting the plus sign). Select Spinning and add to Versa and sync. Then to start the spinning activity go to your exercise app and scroll till you get to spinning. Tap that, then start by pressing the bottom right button and stop when you are finished by pressing again. (It wont give you distance as it has no wah of knowing how far you peddled)

The Spinning Exercise Shortcut gives incorrect mileage. I log my indoor bike rides manually. I enter the time started, total time and mileage (the bike gives me the total time and mileage) and the Versa calculates the heart rates during that time, the average heart rate, the average miles per hour and the calories burned. The Spinning Exercise Shortcut logged 0.12 miles for a 6.4 mile ride and gave me 589 steps for that ride which I did not want.

Thank you for the replies so far. It is interesting. Does anyone connect a 3rd party app for indoor bike riding like Google Fit or other, if that's even possible.
I decided to keep the Versa and work with it best I can. I just ordered a Nike band, a Milanese band, and a nylon band from Amazon today for it. I am excited. I really could do without that weak stock black band.
Thanks again.

At the risk of sounding really dumb, I have not been able to figure out how to edit and add exercise as mentioned in the spinning response. I do a lot of a stationary bike and the app is very deficient in measuring that since the bike is not moving, and neither are my arms.
Also, I do a lot of water exercise and use swimming to track it but this morning I forget to start it so I was about minutes into the class before I remembered to do that. Is there a way I can add those 8 minutes?
Thanks.

I figured out how to edit, but it did not seem to change the stats when I added the time on from when I actually started.
I am still not sure how to make the bike count for what it really should be.

Are you saying that you add the information manually to your Versa to track your biking? I would love to be able to input that in from the recumbant bike at physical therapy. Any information on how to manually input any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks1

@WebGalPat @47_fitter You have to add exercise in the Fitbit mobile app. Open the app on your phone and tap on the exercise tile. Tap on the stopwatch icon in the top right corner and go to Log Previous tab. Type the exercise type (e.g. bike or spinning) and input all the stats (e.g. time, distance, calories if you wish to adjust them yourself). Versa will match that workout with the heart rate recorded.

@47_fitter Stats of workouts recorded by versa cannot be changed. You can edit only the type. To input the stats you need to input separate activity into Fitbit mobile app. See my previous post.

I wish this information had been easily available before. I found the Versa did not do a good job of tracking my most frequent activities so I ended up returning it and purchased a different fitness tracker.

I"m sorry but I'm such a new user. i had a Garmin before this so I am really trying to learn how to use the Versa. When I open the mobile app, I see the dashboard that is like a summary of my activities with circle showing today's# of steps, how many floors, miles, calories, and what appears to be a lightning bolt that shows 0 minutes. I don't see what you are referring to unless I am totally missing it:
Open the app on your phone and tap on the exercise tile. Tap on the stopwatch icon in the top right corner and go to Log Previous tab, etc.
I do not know where this exercise tile is.
I had a stroke in May but I am about 95% back with walking so I am trying to track my activities and get much better! I really appreciate your help and patience. This is what I see when I open the mobile app. I go to therapy twice a week and would love to track the recumbent bike on the app if that's possible.
Thanks,
Pat

I would be able to help you but since I returned my versa in August I have nothing to look at now to be able to do so.

@WebGalPat No worries. I will help! 😊 Exercise tile is the one that says how many days you have exercised. For example, if your goal is set to 5 days and you exercised 3 days this week, it will say 3 out of 5. Tap on this tile, then tap on the stopwatch icon in the top right corner. Go to Log Previous tab, again in the top right corner. Now you can input the exercise type (e.g. bike or spinning) and all stats (e.g. time, distance, calories, etc.). Versa will match that workout with the heart rate recorded and replace all other stats with those manually typed (e.g. calories).

Lol, well the first part works, but after the sync I still do not see the spinning added, and I cannot manually track it.
"Then to start the spinning activity go to your exercise app and scroll till you get to spinning. Tap that, then start by pressing the bottom right button and stop when you are finished by pressing again. (It wont give you distance as it has no wah of knowing how far you peddled)"
All wrong, but clicking the tile, an the stop watch does add the exercise. Not really great. Actually I am going to see if I can return this, and by something that tracks stationary bike.

Detailed, but incorrect, and does not work.
