Does "wake" stage in sleep stages mean time in bed without sleeping?

Hi

Does "wake" stage in sleep stages mean time in bed without sleeping?

I see that most sleep logs start and end with "wake".
Then, does the "wake" at the beginning of the log mean the period I was in bed but not asleep?

and the one at the end, the time I woke up but didn't get out of bed?

Thank you

Hi PILsr,

A wake period occurs after the sleep log recording begins but the device data represents the person being awake (i.e. movement, heart rate changes, etc).  I suppose you could look at "wake" as you described.   I would recommend reading "Interpreting the Sleep Stage and Short Data" page for more information to gain more insight into the wake data.

Let me know if you have further questions.
