Receiving "historical" activity notifications

Hi,

 

we have noticed that we used to receive "historical" notifications for activities. We have some users who have entries since 2012. We are wondering how that could happen, as we should only receive recent updates, at least that's how we understand the documentation.


We have cases when around 12k of such notifications were sent to us per user, and as we use the strategy to pull the data immediately, we very quickly run into rate limiting of course.

Is this intended, or should we take care of filtering out "historical" entries?

That is not likely intended behavior.   I'm going to send you an email requesting additional information so I can investigate.
