Elevated data request timeouts

ANSWERED

This issue started ~5:30 AM EDT this morning.  We are seeing some API requests go through just fine, then other API requests seeming to hang indefinitely.  Is there a partial outage of some sort this morning?

Hi @LifeOmic-Dev

Thank you for letting us know.   I haven't heard any reported outages.   To help with the investigation, are you still experiencing a problem?

Hi Gordon,

We are not!  15-20 min after our post here, the request-hanging stopped.  That could've been pure coincidence - but if you see any changes for our API key in the logs yesterday, which might've had a side effect of resetting state or something (?), it might be a clue.  We've also added a more aggressive client-side timeout for fitbit data download requests, so we can catch this quicker and it won't consume as many resources on our side.

Thanks!

LifeOmic
