FitBit Rate Limit transcend

Hi Fitbit, 

We are integrating your API into our platform and would like to know if there is a way to transcend the rate limit. Could we get in touch with someone from sales or so to discuss the possibility to get to higher volumes of calls etc?

Hi @NickWeFitter,

We don't normally raise the rate limit for 3rd party applications, unfortunately.

The vast majority of applications (including Fitbit's own mobile applications) do not exceed this rate limit. Could you tell me more about your integration? Perhaps I can suggest strategies to reduce the number of API calls you're using.

Thanks for your message. At this point the rate limit is not going to be any problem (yet). Were implementing your ping service now also so that will be also saving API calls. But to give you more of an idea for phases to come looking at our product we think there is an realistic scenario we would hit the rate limit.
