Authentication with Fitbit was just built into Hapi.js (in its authentication plugin bell). Now, creating third-party applications that authenticate Fitbit users is even more straightforward!
Hapi.js is a Node.js framework comparable to Express and Restify that provides a simple and convenient foundation for web apps. Designed by Walmart Labs with security and scalability as primary concerns, it has a rich feature set thanks to its unique plugin system and great community support.
Internally, Fitbit currently uses Hapi.js as the basis for its integration with Strava, and we hope that this new addition will be a useful resource that will make using the Fitbit API even easier and more fun. Hapi coding 🙂
