I want to create new screens and options on the surge device. Is that possible? For example I want write an app that makes the device vibrate when my HR is over a certain value. Tx

I'd like to know that too. I want to build app to wake up when the "sleep radar" tells me I'm sleeping light

The Fitbit Surge does not have support for running 3rd party apps. You might want to consider the Fitbit Ionic and use resources listed here to build your own apps.
