Non web access to the API on Andriod

I would like to access the data availbe from the web endpoint without having to use the network connection.

 

What I mean is that I want to communicate with the FitBit Android application to get the number of steps counted so that I don't have to use the user's data. Is there a supported communication channel between the FitBit Android application and other applications on the same device.

There is no communication with the Fitbit for Android app. You'll need to use the Web API to access a user's Fitbit data on their behalf.
