Register user using fitbit API

I searched this topic and found a reply back in 2014, so wanted to check if it still holds true. 

Can we register a user & create a fitbit account via API in our own custom web portal, using our UI?

I wanted to bump this, because I have a similar question. 

We are creating an application for a client that will include the Fitbit API. We would like to easily create a Fitbit account within the Patient Portal app that we are building, rather than redirecting them to the Fitbit domain. Most of these people are older, so we are trying to make it easy. 

Is this a possibility?

@djangof No you can't do that through the Fitbit API. User's will have to create their own Fitbit account.
