Hi ,

I would like to know what are the steps required to brainstorm, for building a Web API? What should be the process for one consider before diving into it. For example, to build a web api one needs to plan the following in sequence (not sure if it’s the right:

  1. Plan the no. of users who will be using the service
  2. Are these users located everywhere in the world or in one nation this helps to narrow the cloud server plan one intends to get
  3. Decide on the Database server (MYSQL)
  4. Decide on the API server (API and Database server should be on different machines)
  5. Decide on the web host (eg. From Go daddy etc)

I am not sure how should one plan the process of doing this. Do you have any idea?
