Why are there no Floors climbed in Activity Logs?

Is there any way to get the number of floors climbed per activity - not sure why it is available as a daily activity summary statistic but cannot be picked up in the log of each activity?

Hi @mmf229

I would expect that level of detail to be returned by the Get Activity Log List endpoint, but I do not see it available.   Let me check with engineering and get back to you this week.

Hi @mmf229

We heard back from engineering who confirmed that "floors" is not returned by the Get Activity Log List endpoint.  So, I have created an enhancement request to add this functionality.   In the meantime, there is a way you can get this information yourself.

  1. From the Get Activity Log List endpoint, grab the start and end time of the recorded exercise
  2. Use the Get Activity Intraday by Date endpoint with the resource "floors" and specify the date, start time and end time.  Then calculate the number of floors yourself.
