I've had a Zip for 2 years. Today afer my regular 30 minutes on my exercycle, my step count was 10 times higher than my reglar count. Through out the day my step count skyrocketed to over 200,000 steps, yet I was in my office all day and didn't walk anymore than usual. While looking at my zip, the step count seemed to getting higher automatically, almost like it was ticking seconds??? Ive never had this happen before.
I changed the battery after all this, but the step count is ridiculous, and it is showing my remaining calories as over 10,000, even after I've eaten my regular 3 meals. What is happening??

It's great to see you around @SkinnyOnceMore. If your tracker is registering extra steps, I recommend Restarting your Zip. The restart process won't take away those steps but you can negate them by manually logging the activity "Driving" by doing the following from your Android Fitbit app:
1. Tap "No Exercise Logged"
2. Tap the stopwatch in the upper right corner
3. Tap "Log Previous"
4. Enter the information
5. Tap "Log It"

I had the same problem. I ran 6 miles -- the Zip recorded about the right number of miles and minutes, but way too many steps (over 25,000 when it should have been a little under 12,000) and WAY too many calories (about 2800 burned by 8 am!) I have removed the battery for the restart procedure but do not understand how to correct the step and calorie counts from your instructions above.
