Firmware Update Error

I absolutely CANNOT get my Fitbit zip to work. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting tips (uninstall / install Fitbit app, turn Bluetooth on / off, reboot phone, sync from computer instead of phone, delete device and re-sync with phone, delete re-sync with computer, reset Fitbit Zip, turn off all other nearby Bluetooth devices, etc.) and am still getting the Firmware update error message on my phone and my computer says it is unable to update my Fitbit. I tried to email and message Customer Support, but it is asking me to set up a Twitter account, which I would rather not do. What is the customer support number? I am beyond frustrated.

Nice to see you here @Loislane317! Thanks for sharing your feedback about your Fitbit Zip and Support.  I wanted to assure you that we take into consideration all the comments provided by our users to continue improving your experience. And, I appreciate all the troubleshooting you have performed before posting here.

Before contacting Support, you might want to verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here.

If you still need to contact Support you can go to the Get Support page. Or, if you still need more assistance you can let me know. I'd love to help you to get back on track.

Keep me posted! 🙂

Fitbit needs to set up local service sites at major cities if they want to continue selling this high end fitness monitor.
