Fitbit Zip time and battery issues

Hey,

I don't know if there's an easy fix for this, or if my Zip is just defective and I'm SOL.

Over the last couple of months my Zip's performance, for lack of better words, has been getting worse. The clock is constantly wrong (it corrects itself when synced, but then will quickly fall minutes, and eventually, hours behind). Related to this, is that the first time I sync it throughout the day and the clock catches up, the display on my Zip will 9/10 times then say I've walked 0 steps. As well, the battery life, which should be a couple of months, is about 3 weeks (or thereabouts, its level changes 2/3rds of the time I sync it, switching from low, to medium, to full, in no seeming order).

Is there any way to troubleshoot it? Or does it just need replacing?

Thanks!

Nice to see you here @Cealyn! This may have an easy fix. Sometimes your tracker will have battery issues when this is bent. I would recommend checking the metal spring inside the Zip's battery compartment. Here is a picture of how it should look like:

Also, you can check a video about it on this post from @vomitofthemind

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😉
