Fitbit zip resetting at random times of the day

I changed the battery a couple of days ago, and ever since, my Fitbit has been randomly resetting. Once I synced it and even though the Fitbit showed 0 steps, the correct amount synced, and then the Fitbit screen showed the correct mileage. Today, I ran 6 miles in 90 degree heat.....got home....and after tapping the screen , I watched it reset to 0.....after the 5.86 and 4 smiley faces flashed......tapped it a couple of more times and it reset again, but this time to half of what I had logged 😭 I have read the other posts on this subject...taken the battery out, made sure there would be a good connection and replaced it.....no lost steps so far, although I didn't get back the steps lost this morning......we'll see what happens.....is there anything else I can do? I hate losing steps.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Runinmummy. It's great to have you here. If you have verified that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip as @vomitofthemind stated here without luck, please be so kind to reach out Customer Support. Let them know the workarounds performed. They might be able to provide further assistance as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if it's necessary, you can add steps to your account by manually logging activities like Walking, Running or Hiking.

Thanks for stopping by, see you around. Smiley Very Happy
