How do erase prior data to only show mine

I got my new factory sealed Fitbit the day before yesterday. I synced it to my mobile devices right when I got it and it started to log my stats which is what I wanted but I noticed when I was checking how many calories I burned in total for today it also gave calories burned for months prior to be buying it. Is this a default feature? How can I delete it? It's shows 1544 cal burned daily since Oct 2015

Hi, @MG_3, yes, this is a default feature and all the data is yours.  As soon as you input your basic profile information of gender, age, height and weight, the program calculates your "BMR" (basal metabolic rate) calories -- the minimum calories you must have burnt just to stay alive (heart beating, lung function, digestion, etc -- all these take calories!). You will get calorie "credit" for these whether or not your wear your Fitbit, and no matter how far back you look those calories will be there.  Once you are wearing your Fitbit and getting active you will also get calorie credit for your activities.

I hope this helps!  Welcome to the Community!

Oh, gotcha😊 I was just curious because I just bought it and it was showing default data from months to me even getting it. Thank you so much for your response.
