Lost steps when replacing battery

My zip had a low battery symbol flashing and wouldn't sync with my computer (I use a dongle to sync). I reset by removing the battery, and the step count went from 7,043 to 6,361.  The low battery sign was still flashing, so then I put in a new battery, but it still showed only 6.361.  Any ideas where my other steps went?

Welcome to the Forums @lbyrch! I'm sorry to hear about your lost steps. Data could be lost if your tracker is not synced before replacing the battery. However, you can manually log this missing steps

I hope this help, keep me posted! 😉

The link to the instructions to manually reset the steps doesn't work. It says access denied.
