My Zip got moisture in it while it was in my sock and I was exercising two days ago. Now the Zip is not syncing with my Android phone. The phone does not even show the Zip as visible in Bluetooth. Removing the battery and restarting the Zip is not working. The Zip still shows steps and other information when restarted. I have dried the Zip out with rice and there is no visible moisture in the screen. But the Zip is still not visible as a Bluetooth device with my Android.
Help, would like to keep my steps up.

Hi @kentpenney
After the rice did you clean it out with alcohol on a cotton swab and put in a fresh battery?
Let us know what happens.

I cleaned with a swab and did put in a fresh battery. I could not clean any deeper than the back of the circuit board though.

How old is the little Zip @kentpenney ?
Some of these have gone through the washing machine and dryer and survived.

It is just 2 years old. Luckily I have not sent it through the washer.

Here is my conclusion to the problem. For me the solution was replacing my Zip. I got the new one and it is now syncing and working correctly. I think part of the problem was the battery cover had started to split and it was not possible to get a replacement battery cover. If I had been able to get a replacement cover, which I would have gladly paid for, I would not have gotten perspiration into the Zip and had to buy a new Zip. It would be nice if replacement covers can be made available to people in the future to avoid these issues.
Problem solved for me now.
